One-Time Exemption Advisory

The Oregon Division of Finance and Corporate Securities will no longer grant a one-time exemption to mortgage lending companies. This change in policy is due to the overuse of this courtesy. There are no exceptions allowed in the Oregon Mortgage Lending Law to allow for “one-time” unlicensed transactions. Therefore, before any mortgage lending business is solicited or transacted in Oregon, the mortgage lender must obtain a license.
